My Fair Lady

My Fair Lady is a musical film I saw the other day. I really liked it, it's about a philologyst called Henry Higgins, who is very rich, who takes Eliza, a poor young lady from the street to teach her how to speak English correctly. He bets that on six months she would be able to speak perfectly.
To prove it, they take her to a waltz, were even an expert on languages thinks she is... a norweigan princess!
This wonderful film is directed by George Cukor, protagonized by Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison.
Here you have some links to the videos of my favourite songs of the film:

Ben's diary

This is an exercise that we are doing in the school. We've got to make up a text that a character from a story is supposed to write in his diary.

The story is about a boy called Ben who magically appears at another boy's house (the other boy is called Tom) after having volunteered for a magic trick. Ben and Tom call at Ben's house telephone number, but the operator tells them that that number had been disconnected six months before. The boys go to Ben's house and to the school where they both went, and everything seemed as if Ben had moved.

"Dear Diary,
I had a terrible day yesterday. Tom and I went to the magician's house. His granddaughter taked us to the magic room. It was full of cabinets, boxes and things for magic tricks. I entered in a black cabinet, which was used for making people disappear, and five minutes later I was in the ceiling, trapped in a giant spider's net. The spider, which was very big, hairy and disgusting was staring at me.
Gotta go! I'll continue writing later.
